Drake woodduck wood carving, "Casey's Flyers" on a wall setting, hand carved and painted by Casey Edwards in his contemporary style. This piece measures 18" high, while the flying woodduck measures life-size at 16" long, and 18" wing tip to wing tip. There is highly detailed feather carving and painting throughout this flyer, with an uplifted and slightly turned head, wings that are cupped and angled in an aerodynamic flying position as it is banking in for a landing, a fanned tail which it uses as a rudder in the air to help make turns, and great detail in the head and the feet.
