Vintage Jr. Croquet set

Description

This is a vintage Jr. croquet set in very very good condition.  There are signs of normal wear and tear, the most significant are the red and blue mallets have small pieces split off of them.  A couple of the mallet ends show small hairline cracks but they are not deep or go thru the pieces. I do not see any cracks or splits on any of the other pieces.  One of the balls is a hardwood replacement of the same size as the others.  The pieces are all lathe turned and are quality hardwood, not like the cheap recreational sets made today.
I have lightly sanded and applied 2 light coats of Linseed Oil to refresh the wood.
Most croquet sets of this vintage have longer handles with larger mallet heads, so I believe this set was intended for small children.  This is a wonderful set for collectors or display-  very hard to find in this condition!
I would estimate this as c. 1930's-1940's.
