We got this Quintessential Couple from an auction in FL. They have been sitting on our shelf since we got them.
Offered here is a Very Collectable Pair of last quarter 20th Century Decoys.
These Upper Chesapeake Bay Redhead Minis from Elkton, MD are about 30 years old.
This very rare pair of mini decoys made by Bob Litzenberg are in Mint Original Condition.
They are Solid Body Decoys. They have Nicely Shaped Rounded Backs and Paddle Tails.
They both have Thick Dry Original Paint. They have Finely Painted Feathering on their Backs and Tails along with Detailed Painted Wing Patterns.
Their Alert Forward-looking Heads are Very Nicely Carved. They have Boldly Carved Beak/Face Separation and their Bills have both Carved Nostrils and Partial Mandibles. They have Bob’s Painted Eyes with his telltale White Dot.
Both Decoys: Retain Original Leather Tab and Flat Lead Pad Ballast Weight Rigging – Both Have Original Makers Note on Lead Pad Bottom = “Robert G Litzenberg Elkton, MD 1992” in electropen.
