ORIGINAL "Viet Nam Shall Win" poster by Rene Mederos, 1971

Description

Rene Mederos was sent to Vietnam in 1969 by the Cuban government's Department of Revolutionary Orientation. His was sent to paint the war-torn conditions throughout the country's provinces. The finished works were displayed in Hanoi. The images were so popular and evocative that they were translated into a series of posters available for sale. As part of the American anti-war campaign, the Glad Day Press in Ithaca, New York, published this edition whose proceeds funded much-needed medical aid in Indochina.
This poster measures 51 x 66cm and is in exceptional condition besides an easily mendable tear on the top edge. This is an extremely rare find and would make a unique gift for any history buff!
