Description
Lloyd Parker Parkertown NJ black duck decoy ca. 1885A hand carved hollow cedar black duck decoy by Llyod Parker ( 1858-1921) from Parkertown, New Jersey from the late 1880's. His early decoys had an applied ballast weight and about 1890 he started to inlead his ballast weights.Measures 17 inches from the tip of the bill to the tail, applied ballast weight missing the anchor tie, carved -painted eyes, ice groove on the back ( a groove that simulated the wing separation the in the winter time would catch water and freeze), a couple old in use repaints. Guaranteed to be as described/pictured.
NOTE; most of the shine on the decoys is from the camera lights
